So that most of your panfish jigs will fit through the eyelet and you do not have to clip your bait off to remove or switch bobber sizes.<br>These are handcrafted here in the USA out of 304 stainless steel wire that is also made in the USA.<br>I will be selling all four sizes in neon glow on eBay with and without the mount.<br>For those of you that are not familiar with this style of ice fishing spring bobber. Once you try it you will never want to use anything but this style. If you are anything like me through all your ice fishing experiences, you have probably tried many different styles of spring bobbers. Some are easy to mount but always seem to spin on the rod tip or your line tangles in the spring. So to keep it from spinning we permanently mount it to our rods. So, now you may have mounted a light bobber on your favorite rod. But when you try to switch from a light fly to a tungsten jig the spring is now buried all the way down so you have no sensitivity left in your bobber. Other bobbers seem to ice up so you are consistently trying to keep your line free. With this style of spring bobber, you just attach the bobber mount to the top of your rods eyelet. There are four different spring size weights to choose from. Light (orange) Medium (pink) Medium-heavy (yellow) Heavy (green). After that you just slide the desired size spring in the rubber grommet. You can also slide the spring in and out to adjust for lighter or heavier jigs. It is best to have about a 30-degree bend so you can see the down bites, up bites and side bites. The bobber is also easily removed for storage or travel so less chance of damage to your spring.<br>MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS:<br>Clip the mount to your rods eyelet with an alligator clip.<br>Put on a little super glue to hold in place and let it set up.<br>For best results wrap with thread and then coat thread with clear fingernail polish or epoxy.<br>If you don’t feel like wrapping you can skip the thread and use epoxy.<br>
